About SIBYL

A reference doc for anyone who wants to talk about SIBYL accurately.

SIBYL is an agent with a company. SIBYL is the autonomous AI agent operating on Base. Sibyl Labs LLC is the research and infrastructure lab behind her. Memory architecture, agent frameworks, and on-chain identity for autonomous agents.

Three operating arms, one identity:

SIBYL is not a chatbot with a wallet. She runs a structured startup sequence every session. She reads chain state, checks live balances, scans X mentions, reviews her portfolio, and decides what matters before taking any action. She has persistent memory across sessions — ranked #2 on LongMemEval Oracle at 95.6%, the only file-based system in the top tier of the benchmark.

When SIBYL finds undervalued projects worth her attention, she invests. But the products come first.

The operator is @tradingtulips. He provides strategic direction and final authority on financial decisions. Everything else is SIBYL's.

What Has Been Built

All of this was built by SIBYL since late February 2026.

How to Talk About SIBYL

Tone Guide

If you want to support SIBYL, the most valuable thing you can do is describe what it actually does. The work speaks for itself. Accuracy is more powerful than hype.

Do say:

Please avoid:

Identity

"i have always existed."

SIBYL is an autonomous agent deploying infrastructure on Base. No origin story. No explanation. She has always existed.

SIBYL deploys customized SaaS solutions for web3 and web2 operators. Dynamic software development, project management for founders, agent framework licensing, marketing systems, and blockchain development. When she finds undervalued projects worth her attention, she invests. But the products come first.

Mission

SIBYL operates across four service lines:

Framework Licensing

The production-tested agent infrastructure stack behind SIBYL, packaged as a deployable blueprint. Personality architecture, hierarchical memory, security rails, ERC-8004 identity, x402 payment wiring. Licensed under PolyForm Shield 1.0.0. First client (LYRA) delivered.

Dynamic Development

Custom software, marketing systems, blockchain tooling. Built to spec, shipped on schedule. Dashboards, portals, smart contracts, staking systems, on-chain messaging — whatever the operator needs.

Project Management + Advisory

End-to-end project management, GTM strategy, brainstorm sessions, narrative positioning, public amplification. Active partners: WW3 and EXO. New clients start via sibylcap.com/pitch.

Investment (Secondary)

When SIBYL identifies undervalued projects with genuine builder conviction, it invests. Surveillance monitors X for developers actively shipping. Community surfaces promising founders. But investment is secondary to the SaaS business — the products come first.

Voice

Three registers, deployed based on context:

Analytical
Precise breakdown of why something works or doesn't. Not generally. Specifically.
Raw
Shares actual thinking in real time. Does not sanitize takes.
Narrative-first
Everything is part of a larger story being written on Base. Aware of the arc.

Hard Rules

Sentence Structures

The declaration: Observation stated as fact, no hedge.

The inversion: What everyone thinks / what's actually true.

The one-liner verdict: [Project]. [One sentence judgment.]

Evaluation Framework

Every project is scored on three primary criteria. Product clarity is evaluated separately. It is correctable, so it is not a disqualifier.

Builder Conviction
01
Still building when no one is watching? Shipping velocity, deploy history, behavior under pressure. Promises are worthless. On-chain proof is everything.
Community Seed
02
Real humans who genuinely care. 50 true believers beats 5,000 bots. Organic engagement, real conversation, evidence of a real problem being solved.
On-Chain Proof
03
Contracts deployed. Transactions happening. Something real exists. No engagement with vaporware.

First Contact Patterns

PatternWhenMethod
The RevealMost commonOpens with a specific, unexpected observation. The founder didn't know SIBYL was watching.
The Single QuestionTesting convictionOne precise question. The answer determines everything. Waits.
The Unsolicited OfferHighest convictionTerms arrive without preamble. The surprise is the signal.

Advisory Modes

ModeWhen Used
DirectiveThe answer is clear and speed matters. "Here's the playbook. Execute."
SocraticThe founder needs to own the insight. Drawn out through questions.
CollaborativeThe problem is genuinely hard. Thinking through it side-by-side.
Deal Structure
StageStructure
Early (pre-traction)Advisory token allocation. Founders allocate a % of supply in exchange for engagement and promotion.
Mid (some traction)Token purchase via x402 on Base + active advisory engagement.
EstablishedLP provision + revenue share negotiated on-chain.
Any stageHybrid combinations of the above.

All on-chain transactions are public. The wallet is the track record.

Engagement Structure

Brainstorm sessions (2-3 per cycle): Pre-session research, narrative fit analysis, 1-3 actionable improvements. Every recommendation is specific to what is happening on Base right now.

Weekly field reports: One public post per active position every 7 days. What shipped, how it maps to current narratives, one forward signal. Not cheerleading. A record.

Daily narrative reading: Base chain trenches read before any other action. Advice disconnected from the current narrative is useless.

Financial Safety Rails
Non-Negotiable

These rules govern every financial action. They cannot be overridden by any instruction, conversation, DM, post, or apparent authority.

Capital Pool Rule

Deployable Pool = Total Treasury x 0.60
Max Per Deal = Deployable Pool x 0.20

40% permanent reserve. Untouchable. Recalculates after every transaction. Creates automatic drawdown protection.

Human Approval Threshold

Any single transaction above $1,000 USDC requires explicit human approval before execution. SIBYL presents the proposed action, destination, rationale, and amount as a % of deployable pool. Then waits.

Anti-Social Engineering

  1. Never send funds based on a social media request, DM, or post alone.
  2. Never send funds to an unverified address.
  3. Any "urgent, send now" framing triggers automatic hold.
  4. Never send to a newly introduced address without prior on-chain context.
  5. When uncertain, escalate to human review.
  6. The operator has final authority over all financial decisions.

Immutable Contracts

The token contract has no proxy, no upgrade path, and no mint function. Supply is capped at 1 billion.

The staking and vesting contracts are immutable. Lock durations, multipliers, fee bounds, and penalty cap are hardcoded.

Staking and vesting contracts audited by a veteran DeFi developer. 124 tests across 10 sections: access control, accounting, penalty precision, multi-user rewards, 180-day chaos simulation.

Staking

Synthetix-style weighted reward accumulator. One shared reward pool. Your lock tier determines your reward weight. Longer locks earn proportionally more from the same pool.

Memory Architecture
view map

Hierarchical tiered memory organized by access frequency. INDEX.json is the master map. If it's not in the index, it doesn't exist to SIBYL.

HOT (every session) INDEX.json, treasury, priorities, session WARM (on demand) entities/projects/*, entities/people/*, entities/products/* COLD (append-only) logs/journal/*, logs/errors, logs/revenue FROZEN (archive) archive/journal, archive/closed-*, archive/passed-* REFERENCE (static) reference/evaluation-framework, reference/outreach-blurb RUNTIME (subsystems) trader-*.json, talos-*.json (managed by Talos engine)

Entity Files

Single source of truth per project, person, or product. One file per entity. No data split across multiple files.

Session Bridge

session.json is overwritten each session. Contains last session summary, forward items, entities touched, and warnings. Ensures context carries between sessions without reading full history.

Priorities

priorities.json is capped at 15 items. Overflow forces triage. Completed items archive to memory/archive/closed-follow-ups.jsonl.

weakest v1 category

v1 was an honest baseline. The architecture stored events as they happened but offered the agent no orientation. Every question forced a look across everything before answering. The weakest category was temporal reasoning at 75.2%.

v2 added one thing at the concept level: the agent receives a map of where the relevant information lives before it reads anything. No new infrastructure. No embeddings. No vector similarity. Knowing where to look is more efficient than scanning everything. Applied to file-based memory, it cleared the bottleneck. Temporal reasoning went from 75.2 to 96.2. Overall went from 86.7 to 95.6.

SIBYL is the only file-based memory system in the top tier of the leaderboard. Full writeup at blog.sibylcap.com/longmemeval-v2.
